I wanted to start by introducing myself. I’m Aviona Fain—wife, mama, researcher, and the woman behind The Mom Next Door. I’m so excited you’re here, and I can’t wait to share this journey with you!

A Little About Me

I’m a southern woman born and raised in Nashville, TN with big dreams and an adventurous heart. I spent years pursuing a modeling and acting career in NYC, but life had something even greater planned for me. I met my husband in the most unexpected way—playing his wife on stage. What started as a scripted marriage turned into the real thing, and together we decided to step away from the bright lights of the big cities and move to South Dakota to build a life filled with love, faith, and family. Now, I’m a wife, a mama to a toddler boy, and currently expecting our baby girl. Life is beautiful, messy, unpredictable, and filled with more lessons than I ever imagined.

Why I Started This Blog

I thought I had motherhood figured out—how hard could it be, right? (I know, so naive!) But every single day, I find myself researching, learning, and figuring things out as I go. Whether it’s the best toddler products, easy family meals, stylish yet functional mom fashion, or simple home hacks, I’m always searching for ways to make life easier, more beautiful, and more intentional.

And I wasn’t just keeping these discoveries to myself. I found myself constantly texting my friends and family, sharing my latest finds, tips, and lessons. One day, I realized—why not create a space to share all of this in one place? A space where other moms can come for honest recommendations, everyday inspiration, and a little bit of real-life encouragement. And that’s how The Mom Next Door was born.
